Peace and love.

This man talks enormous sense. He's so good!

Tom Bauer.

Really inspiring use of colour, shape and shadow in Tom Bauer's work.

Pleats please.

A random but visually stimulating find. A whole site devoted to pleated structures.

What a tune.

Oh Salt 'N' Pepa.

Throwing some shapes.

New moves to learn for the forthcoming christmas party season...

Swoon.

What a gem, what a find! A reason why all photography should be shot on film. I'm a total magpie when it comes to old photographs. Something about sifting through enormous great boxes where ever I may come across them, fills me with intrigue and a little bit of sadness too. But they are always so wonderful. I like picking them up and peering in to that past world for a split second, wondering who the person in the photograph was. A game I played as a kid while stuck on long car journeys was giving people in the surrounding cars names and a story. So, in a similar way this is an extension of that.

Here are some total beauties I came across all conveniently archived on a blog.

Super Duper.

What a nice find. Roberta Furlanetto's AW 09 collection totally caught my eye on a recent drool around Dover Street Market. The craftsmanship involved in each piece hanging on the rail really did excite me. The collection featured cleverly cut winter garments, both leather and wool, with plait-like twists and loops; as though the artist Robert Morris had reinvented himself as a fashion designer. Above is a selection of her AW09 and SS10. The SS 10 collection looks equally as good going by her site. Sculptural shapes in muted tones.

Frigid fingers.

Last night I was at lcb doing some live drawing in the theme of winter. Above is the result. A French guy informed me that Pilon in French means spliff. There I was innocently pasting up a picture of 'Hotel du Pilon' that I took on holiday in France earlier this year. Brilliant! Good old slang.

I also made some felt clothing for my deck. Thanks to Robbie and his brown shoes and also Eve at lcb for organising the night. Fun was had by all.

Hot hot hot.

Mine Mine Mine! Thank you Won Hundred.

Show.

On Thursday night I'll be drawing, sticking and painting live at LCB. Come on down.
